“I’m in”
Senior Emily Neil will attend Penn State University after graduating high school. In this senior special blog, Neil shares why college doesn’t intimidate her and what about PSU interests her.
Q: Why did you choose to go to Penn State University?
A: It’s close to home, so it lets me save money.
Q: What are you majoring in or planning on studying at PSU?
A: [I’m] undecided.
Q: What excites you the most about college?
A: [To have] more freedom [with] like the class schedules.
Q: Is there anything about college that intimidates you?
A: Not really…most of my close friends are going there too, so we’ll be going through it together.
Q: What other colleges were you looking at as other options?
A: I thought about Westchester for a while.
Q: Why did you think this college was the choice for you? What about the school interested you?
A: I like how I can save money and still go to a very well known college. I was most interested by the two and two option because I get to save money for two years and then get to have more of a college experience the next two years.
Q: How do you feel about senior year ending so soon?
A: It feels weird, but I’m ready to move on.
Q: What do you think will be the biggest difference between high school and college?
A: I think the largest difference would be not having the same kids around me that I’ve known for so long.
