Diversity club spreads positivity
October 18, 2018
Diversity club teaches participants about equality and trying to create a more positive environment for students. They focus a lot on “acceptance, treating people with respect no matter what, building a better place and being better people,” diversity adviser Drew Yingling said. Yingling also said diversity club is beginning to work a lot with the Friends of Rachel group.
Throughout the rest of the year, the Diversity club is planning to raise awareness about suicide prevention, being a resource and helping people out no matter what is going on. “Positive attitude” is what Yingling thinks this club contributes.
“We have a lot of work to do. I see things that are being more positive like with the chain hanging outside of the open cafeteria, the banner. I think there are a lot of students who want to make this a better place,” Yingling said.
Yingling wants students to make the school a better place.
