After graduation, senior Alyssa Zeigler plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh. In this senior blog, Zeigler discusses her future ambitions.

Q: What are you planning to study or major in?

A: Rehabilitation Science.

Q: Why did you decide to go to the University of Pittsburgh?

A: I know an intern at my work who also goes to the University of Pittsburgh. She told me about all of the great things on campus. I went there, and I fell in love with it.

Q: Why do you think this college is the best choice for you? What about the school interests you?

A: It was just the best choice for me because of where it is geographically. It’s in the city, but it’s also kind of away from it. So we still get that city life but also a more quiet environment.

Q: What other colleges were you considering?

A: I was considering Penn State.

Q: Will you be participating in extracurricular activities or sports?

A: I’m thinking of participating in Women and Health Club and also the Health Informatics Student Association.

Q: What are you most looking forward to in college?

A: I’m most looking forward to living by myself and really just starting my career.

Q: What is something that intimidates you about college?

A: Definitely the living-on-your-own aspect of it.

Q: What do you think will be the biggest change from high school to college?

A: The biggest change will be time management and the classes being at different times.

Q: How do you feel about senior year ending?

A: I feel indifferent. I’m excited to move on but also kind of sad to be leaving.
