Announcements for 11/20/2023

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2023

Attention girls in grades 9-12 who are interested in playing softball:  There will be an informational meeting after school on Wednesday, November 22nd, in
Ms. Fasolo’s classroom (A217).  If you are interested in trying out for softball, please join to attend. If you cannot attend the meeting but are interested in trying out, please email Ms. Fasolo or stop by A217 this week.
Ninth grade students with last names A-K who brought back their permission form and are touring at the GACTC this morning, please report to the open cafeteria at 8:15.  We will return from the tour at approximately 9:45.
Attention students with perfect attendance:  On Tuesday, November 21st for 9th and 10th grades and Wednesday, November 22nd for 11th and 12th grades, students who had perfect attendance for the entire first marking period are invited to the open cafeteria in the morning to play board games and eat snacks.  Students will go during 3rd period.  Students will receive passes during homeroom the day of the event.  In order to be eligible for this reward, students must have had perfect attendance for the entire first marking period including no tardies or early dismissals.  Field trips and athletic events do not count against your perfect attendance.  If a student feels that he met the requirements but did not get a pass, please contact Ms. DeShong in A303 by noon on Monday so that attendance can be verified.
Tryouts for freshman boys basketball will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, November 20, 21, and 22.  Boys are to be present ALL three days.  All sessions are at the junior high gym from 6-7:30PM.  Physicals are required with a doctor’s signature for non-fall sport athletes.  Recertification paperwork is required for fall sport athletes.  All forms can be found and turned in at either the main office in the junior high or at the athletic office at the high school.
Attention Scholarship Seekers:  If you are a senior and have been employed at one of the Member Clubs of Western Pennsylvania Golf Association as a club employee in the clubhouse, the golf shop, golf course, swimming pool or tennis courts for at least 2 seasons, then be sure to stop by the literature rack outside of the guidance suite and pick up a Scholarship Application.  Applications must be mailed in and the deadline is November 30.
