Cevin Dively dances all her life

Cevin+Dively+dances+all+her+life
James Robbins

Sophomore Cevin Dively is a dancer and Lioneer. She has continued to dance to this day after beginning at such a young age. She has put hard work and dedication into being where she is today. Even though she loves the sport it still requires high ideals.

Dively’s grandmother put her into dance initially when she was three years old, and she has continued down this path even during the rough patches.

”There’s definitely times where you’re like, ‘do I want to still do this? Do I want to go to these practices every night?, I could get a job or I could do other things,” Dively said.

Dively continues to excel and grow as she gets into more competitive dance. She works hard to continue dancing.

“I just have to keep reminding myself what’s the main goal. We’re a team. We’re going to win and just have fun. Don’t stress so much,” Dively said.

Dively finds motivation in many places just like anyone else, but she also finds it within her family. It could be argued that she even works hard when unmotivated.

“Definitely my aunt because she’s always been there for me. And she’s like a second mom,” Dively said.

Dively will more than likely continue to excel through dance, and grow as a person with the support of her family. She holds these people and this sport very close to her. She always sticks with and returns to dance even when in doubt which further strengthens her bond with the sport that she currently loves and will continue to love.
