ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2024

Attention FBLA members, there will be a brief meeting in Mr. King’s room, B126, this Friday, January 5th at 2:45.  All members are expected to attend the meeting to go over school site testing procedures for Tuesday, January 9th.  Please make every effort to attend.

The Student Store will be closed after homeroom and will remain closed all day today.

Any tenth-grade student interested in attending a leadership workshop is encouraged to sign up for an interview in the guidance office.  This is the nationally renowned Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar.  The conference is Western PA HOBY Seminar, which will be held June 14-16th, 2024, on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA.  You could earn college scholarships for being selected to attend this conference.  Our school can send one representative.  The cost is $300. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity. Sign up in the Counseling Office.

Attention Seniors:  The Altoona Area High School Alumni Association will once again award ten $1,000 scholarships to qualifying students.  Students must have attended AAHS for your sophomore, junior and senior years.  Please stop by the literature rack outside the guidance office to pick up an application. Completed applications must be turned in to the Guidance office no later than the end of the day on Monday, February 19th, no exceptions!
