ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY, JANUARY 19, 2024
Attention students: During the week of January 22 nd , bring $1.00 to Girls League
during your lunch to wear a hat to school on the 24 th . All money will be donated to the
Humane Society. If you don’t want to wear a hat, you can still bring in money or any
needed items to the Main Office. A few items needed are soft dog treats, clumping cat
litter, and 33 gallon trash bags. Additional items needed are listed on posters around
the school.
Attention FBLA members: There will be a brief meeting in Mr. King’s room, B126,
Monday, January 22 nd at 2:45. All members attending the field trip to Saint Francis are
expected to attend the meeting to go over dress code and the field trip’s agenda on
Wednesday, January 24 th . Please make every effort to attend.
Seniors: If you sold Marianna’s Hoagies and Pizzas for the AfterGlo, your order total
form, money and checks are now due Monday, January 22 nd , 2:45 p.m. in Mrs. Irwin’s
classroom – A334. The delivery date has also changed to Tuesday, January 30 th .
Attention students: The Main Office still has some bracelets to support the Sanders
family. If you missed out on getting one before the holidays, they are for sale for $1
and all proceeds benefit the Sanders family.
Attention all students: Gettysburg College Jewish Studies Committee is awarding
cash prizes of up to $1,000 during their Fourth Annual Georges Lieber Essay Contest
on Resistance. To qualify for a chance to win you must write a 3,000-word essay
regarding resistance currently going on in American life, an international crisis or a
personal issue and submit the essay electronically before April 17 th . Please stop by the
literature rack outside of the guidance office to get details.
Attention Seniors: If you are looking for scholarship opportunities, you will want to
take a look at the Heidelberg Scholastic Scholarship. You are required to have a GPA
of 2.5 or higher, you must have a college acceptance letter, volunteer hours outside of
school and belong to extracurricular activities. The deadline is March 31 st .
Attention Seniors interested in agriculture, botany, forestry, floral design
and the like: Stop by the guidance office literature rack to pick up information about
a $1,000 scholarship being offered by the Blair Garden Club. Deadline is April 5 th , no
exceptions.
