Announcements 1/25/24

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 25, 2024
Underclassmen – grades 9-11 – who did not check their school portraits outside room B130 must do so today and report any problems to Mrs. Vanish before the end of the day.  Pages will be submitted for printing tomorrow.
Seniors – Your portrait pages will be available Monday through Wednesday of next week outside room B130.
Attention Seniors who sold Marianna’s Hoagies and Pizzas for AfterGlo:  Orders will be delivered this coming Tuesday, January 30th.  Students can pick up their orders at the end of the school day Thursday near the main entrance or from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM at the main entrance of the B building.  Please do not try to pick up early as it will interfere with dismissal.  Please make necessary arrangements to have all orders picked up as all items are perishable and we have nowhere to store them.
Attention Seniors searching for Scholarships:  New to the literature rack outside of the Guidance Office is the Big A Booster Scholarship.  To be considered for this Scholarship, applicants must be a member of a varsity sport and a parent must be a current member of the Big A Booster Club.  Deadline is March 15th at 3:00 PM.
Attention Graduating Seniors:  First Commonwealth Bank is announcing its Scholarship fund.  To be considered for this $1,000 scholarship, you need a 3.0 GPA in order to complete an online application and essay, 500 words or less, detailing how you have made a difference in our community and how that involvement impacted our community and life.  Deadline is March 1st.
Attention Seniors: Are you looking for another scholarship opportunity?  Do you have a family member who is a Veteran?  If you answer yes to both of these questions, then be sure to stop by the Guidance office literature rack and look for the Sweat 4 Vets Scholarship application.  Completed forms must be submitted no later than April 1, 2024.  Last year, seven $1,000 scholarships were awarded to deserving seniors and they are on track to do the same again this year!
