ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, APRIL 22, 2024

Attention all life science, biology and zoology students! Remember today is the
Biodiversity presentation from Reptiland in the auditorium. Check your pass to see
what time you are to attend and report to the auditorium as directed. We are looking
forward to exploring the variety of life on Earth on this Earth Day! Happy Earth Day
to all!!!

Attention Sophomores attending the Rotary Career Fair at the Blair County
Convention Center this Wednesday, April 24 th : Wednesday in reporting room
you will receive information about when to eat lunch, your schedule for the fair, and
bus information. All students will then report to the Field House at 11:30 to attend the
fair.

Circle of Friends is resuming meetings! We will be meeting TODAY, April 22,
2024 to celebrate Earth Day! Join Miss Matteson and Mrs. Harris in B132 at 2:50pm
until 4:00pm to plant seeds, work in the Sensory Garden, and make an Earth Day
Craft. New members are always welcome. We are looking forward to seeing you
there.

Attention Seniors: Are you going on to college to major in education and are
looking for scholarship opportunities? The Blair County Chapter of the Pennsylvania
Association of School Retirees scholarship deadline is fast approaching. Applications
must be received by John Fiore, Jr., on or before Tuesday, April 30 th .

Attention Students: On Wednesday, April 24 th , a representative from DelGrosso’s
Amusement Park will be here during lunch periods. If you are looking for a job
opportunity over the summer, stop by!

Attention Seniors: There will be a representative from Shippensburg University here
today during lunch periods. Be sure to stop by to see what Shippensburg University
has to offer college students.

Mrs. Kelly’s Freshman Seminar students are joining forces with Mrs. Hetrick’s Freshman Seminar to collect some wish list items for the Mending Hearts Animal Rescue from Monday, April 22nd to Thursday, May 2nd.  This is in conjunction with the successful dress down day that was held in March.  The animal rescue is looking for the following items:
-Purina Puppy Chow or Purina One Puppy
-Milk Bone Soft Treats
-Tall White Garbage Bags
-Odoban
-Simple Green
-Medium Milk Bones
-Large Milk Bones
-Unscented Clumping Cat Litter
-NylaBone Chew Toys
-Large Chew Toys for Dogs
-Purina One Kitten (dry and canned)
-Fancy Feast Canned Food
-Purina Cat & Kitten Dry Food
-Sponges
-Paper Towels
-White Vinegar
-Laundry Detergent
-Dawn Liquid
-Double Handled Leashes
-Mountain Leashes
If you are able to donate, all donations can be dropped off to A228, Mrs. Kelly’s room or A226, Mrs. Hetrick’s room.  If you prefer to make a monetary donation, Mrs. Kelly will be shopping at Petco to purchase supplies, as well.  Mending Hearts will be stopping in on May 3rd to pick up these items.  Let’s make this a successful collection for their animal rescue! Attention Seniors:  If you are planning to apply for the Pittman-Hansard
Scholarship, the May 3rd deadline is fast approaching.  To be considered for this
scholarship, applicants must have demonstrated academic achievement, have a
financial need and participate in community service.
