On Feb. 7, Crumbl is opening a new location in Altoona. In light of this occasion, I’ve decided to rank their cookies, best to worst. But first, let me tell you a little about Crumbl.
Crumbl is a franchise chain spanning from the U.S. to Canada. This bakery specializes in cookies, with each having a unique flavor.
What stands out to me most is Crumbl comes out with new cookie flavors each week. The amount of cookies they come out with each week can vary, but they always have fun flavors.
- Pumpkin Roll
Rating- 10/10
This cookie features a pumpkin-flavored base with hints of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s then topped with a smooth swirl of cream cheese frosting. I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin, but this pumpkin roll cookie happens to be my favorite one. The combination of all the spices and frosting makes for a delicious treat for fall.
- Confetti Cake
Rating- 8/10
This cookie starts with a vanilla cookie base filled with colorful sprinkles. Then, it’s topped with vanilla frosting and more rainbow sprinkles. It’s definitely simple, but sometimes simplicity is the answer. It’s like a slice of birthday cake, just in a smaller portion.
- Churro
Rating- 8/10
Churro is a slightly chewy cookie with the classic churro flavors. The cookie starts off as vanilla, then is rolled in a generous amount of cinnamon, sugar and a hint of vanilla. It has a slight crunch, while staying chewy and soft on the inside. Some might think it would be too sweet with all the sugar on it, but that’s not the case.
- Strawberry Cheesecake
Rating- 7.5/10
Even though it’s not a cookie, this strawberry cheesecake still deserves to be on the list. This treat is a cheesecake with a dollop of strawberry puree on the top and a crumble of graham crackers. The graham crackers add a touch of crunch, while the strawberries add the sweetness.
- Classic Pink Sugar Cookie
Rating- 7
This cookie starts with a vanilla flavor cookie and a vibrant pink buttercream frosting on top. It’s super soft and almost melts in your mouth. The frosting adds a sweet, rich flavor to the basic cookie. This cookie is definitely plain, but is still delicious.
- Strawberry Shortcake
Rating- 6.5
The strawberry shortcake cookie from Crumbl is a delicious treat inspired off of a classic dessert. It’s a buttery cookie base that tastes like vanilla shortcake. The cookie is topped with a swirl of cream cheese frosting and a drizzle of strawberry jam. The strawberry jam is a bit too syrupy and overpowering. The cookie as a whole was also just too sweet.
- Pancake
Rating- 5
This cookie is like having breakfast in cookie form. It’s a soft cookie base, infused with maple flavor. It’s then topped with a sweet glaze and powdered sugar. As someone who likes maple, I feel as if the maple flavoring was very overpowering and the cookie was a bit too doughy.
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk
Rating- 4
The chocolate chunk cookie has a timeless flavor. It’s a soft cookie with gooey packets of chocolate chunks melted through. The cookie has a rich chocolate flavor and is crunchy around the edges. The time I had this cookie, it was very crunchy, and I like cookies more soft. The chocolate chunks weren’t melted all the way through either. This may have been just my experience with this cookie, but I also feel as though this cookie is basic and you can get this flavor anywhere. Compared to the other fun flavors Crumbl has had, I was just a bit disappointed.
- Classic Peanut Butter
Rating- 3.5
This cookie is definitely for peanut butter lovers. It has a slightly crumbly texture with a deep peanut butter flavoring that’s both sweet and savory. This cookie then has a criss-crossed pattern on the top made from a fork, giving it that classic peanut butter cookie look. Even though I like peanut butter, the texture was too crumbly. Anytime I would try to pick it up, a piece would fall off.

- Lemon Glaze
Rating- 2
This cookie has a refreshing, zesty flavor with a basic cookie base. The cookie is lighty infused with lemon flavor. It’s topped with a lemon glaze and a slice of lemon on the top. For me, I don’t like lemon very much. The glaze was very overwhelming, making the cookie base and glaze have a weird balance of flavor. The cookie was also very soft and dense, which also to me, and had a weird texture.
