Cross country team gears up for fall season

The boys and girls cross country schedule

The boys’ and girls’ cross country team kicked their season off at the Big Valley invitational on August 30, but there is still a lot of season to go. Both teams have been working tirelessly over the summer to get to this point and their next meet is set to be a rivalry match against Hollidaysburg. 

“Our next meet is at Hollidaysburg, and I’m really excited for it. We always have good competition with them and I hope it continues this coming Wednesday,” senior runner Natalie Etters said.

Their rivalry flows very deep and they are making sure to be well prepared for them when they travel to Hollidaysburg Sept. 17. Check the school website or the attached schedule for the rest of the upcoming meets. Go Mountain Lions!

My name is Elijah Lucio, but most people just call me Lucio. This is my first year on the Mountain Echo Staff. In addition to joining the staff, I’ve run both cross country and track for three years. I am also a part of Soar. Outside of school, I love to hang out with friends, work out, listen to music and play/watch sports. I’m a very passionate Eagles fan, so anytime you see me, feel free to shout a “Go Birds.” I plan to continue to raise my SAT score with the hopes of getting accepted to Penn State University to major in something within the health field.
