S.A.D.D. to sponsor Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week. S.A.D.D. is sponsoring Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week has served as a reminder to stay drug free year after year.

The week of Oct. 27-30 S.A.D.D. ( Students Against Destructive Decisions ) will be sponsoring Red Ribbon week. This week is full of spirit days to show awareness to staying drug free.

“Students should participate in Red Ribbon week to spread awareness about the dangers of doing drugs at a young age,” S.A.D.D. adviser Megan Yingling said.

The themes for Red Ribbon week include:

Monday: snooze on drugs and wear your pajamas

Tuesday: team up against drugs and wear your favorite sports team apparel

Wednesday: put a cap on drugs and wear your hat

Thursday: S.A.D.D. will be working with Mt. Lion Maniacs to put on costume day.

My name is Isabella Benjamin, but everyone calls me Izzie, and this is my first year on staff. I have loved taking photos since I was little and it was when I watched Gilmore Girls that I realized I could write and take photos in school. Aside from Mountain Echo I am involved in student council, Girls’ League, S.A.D.D. ( Students Against Destructive Decisions) and more. Outside of school, you can find me skiing, hanging out with my friends and family or always shopping. A fun fact about me is that I am an alpine ski racer.
