They’re here. The Chamber Orchestra plays “The Phantom of the Opera” during Haunted Hallways.
On Oct. 27, The AAHS Student Council hosted the annual Haunted Hallways event. Children of district staff are able to dress up, receive candy, play games and more.

One project the Intro to Family Consumer Sciences classes took on was the repair of a beloved stuffed animal. FCS students learned stitches to use for mending and then put these into practice for a mending clinic.

Ceramics classes finished up some projects this week. Creating pottery projects involves a longer timeframe as the pottery must dry and be fired before glazing.

Madison Aboud, Editor – in – Chief
My name is Madison Aboud, and this is my fourth year on the Mountain Echo staff. I am honored to serve as Editor in Chief for the 2025 – 2026 school year. In 2023, I did an Editorial Leadership training through CSPA (Columbia Scholastic Press Association). In July 2024, I served as a National Youth Correspondent for the Washington Journalism and Media Conference (WJMC) at George Mason University. When I’m not focused on the Mountain Echo, you can find me reading, spending time with friends and family or hanging out with my dogs. After I graduate, I plan to major in English and minor in Communications. My goal this year is to represent our student body accurately and fairly.

¡Hóla! My name is Alannah Heyward. I am a sophomore at AAHS. This is my firs year on the Mountain Echo, I am also part of the yearbook staff as well. I do a lot of activities outside of Mountain Echo and yearbook, which involve basketball, clubs and cooking. During my free time, I am usually playing basketball, with my niece, or playing with my dog. I am a very friendly person and I am also a family person. I am honored to be on staff and can’t wait to see what this year brings.
