“Scream 7” was released in theaters on Feb. 27, and it was really good.
What makes the “Scream” Franchise different from most horror movies is the fact that the characters in the movie know about the horror movie “rules.” These rules include not trusting people too much and thinking about every move. They make the movie really interesting because it feels like the characters in the movie are thinking the same way most viewers are thinking.
In “Scream 7,” this concept is taken to a new level. When something unexpected happens in the movie it does not feel random or confusing. Instead, it creates dramatic irony. It’s almost like the movie is tricking you in a smart way which leads to thinking and I think that’s what makes the movie good. This makes the movie really exciting because what is happening makes sense, but still unexpected.
Another reason the movie is good is the way it relates to the older “Scream” movies. There are a lot of fans of the movies who like it when the movies include something from the originals. In the newest “Scream,” there are references made to past killings, characters, and scenes that are reminiscent of the older Ghostface killings. These are all good aspects of the movie, especially if you have seen the other “Scream” movies. I encourage viewers to watch the past “Scream” movies if they have not.
The way the newest film relates to its predecessors helps build the plot of the movie. It shows the way everything connects, even though it’s from a different generation. Some of the new characters have something to do with the older characters. For example, the mom of the main character, Tatum, is the main character in a past “Scream” movie which makes the plot of the movie more engaging. It’s not just about the present, but also about the way the past influences everything.
Suspense is also a big part of why “Scream 7” is so good. The movie doesn’t just rely on constant action. Instead, it builds tension. There are scenes where not much is happening, but you still feel nervous because you don’t know what’s coming next. It makes you question every character and wonder who the killer might be.
Then, when something finally does happen, it’s usually really sudden and shocking. These intense scares keep the audience interested the whole time. Overall, “Scream 7” is really good, and I recommend it.
