A new look on life. Students Dawn Dempsey (left) and Jordan Carlucci (right) try various foods of the French culture.

On Sept. 14, the Foreign Language Club will hold their first meeting. The meeting will start after school and will last approximately 20 minutes. Meetings are held once a month, always landing on a Thursday. This club offers ways to learn about other cultures while having fun.

“Everything that we do is focused around some type of cultural experience they’re going to get. So usually when we take field trips, we’re going somewhere with that specific culture in focus,” adviser Veronica Skomra said. “Last year, we went to the German Christkindl market in Mifflinburg and Pittsburgh. We always have a cultural food fair in the spring for the teachers and staff to show our appreciation but also give them a chance to try it.”

The meeting will be held in room A219.

Megan Shultz, Associate Editor
My name is Megan Shultz, and I am an associate editor on the Mt. Echo staff. Ever since I was young I would spend my free time writing stories for my family. Now, entering my senior year, I still get excited to show them my work. When I'm not reading or writing, I love to dance and hangout with my friends. Once I graduate, I hope to attend Mount Aloysius for their sonography program. Until then, I'm looking forward to my senior year and the awesome memories I will make.
