Congratulations! Cossitor sent out a virtual invitation to a group in the Band app, explaining that all students in it had received enough hours to become members. When first sending out the invite, Cossitor included an error with the date, but he promptly fixed it. Courtesy of Benjamin Cossitor

On April 17, 28 students were informed they are eligible to become members of the Thespian Society for the drama program. In order to be inducted, students must have 200 hours dedicated to theater or the equivalent to 20 points. Drama director Benjamin Cossitor invited the students to a ceremony to be inducted. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on May 8 in the blackbox theater.

“I think it’s a great way to recognize all the hard work that goes into a show. [Students] put so much effort and time into a show, so many hours, and then it just stops. So, it’s a way to recognize students and all the time they put into a show,” Cossitor said.

Cider Ayala, Associate Editor
I am in my third year of working on the Mountain Echo publication staff. I am a junior and an associate editor this year. I focus on opinion based writing and work on a blog all about dealing with change. I am hoping to also make a podcast this year with a friend on staff. Outside of journalism, writing is a big part of my life. I love reading and writing poetry, and I want to be a technical writer someday. I also enjoy listening to music, playing with my two bulldogs, and spending time with my friends.
