Get set Senior Morgan Sarver hikes the ball to her teammate during the championship round. Boogie’s Big Steppas won the Turkey Bowl.

AAHS will be hosting the annual turkey bowl again this year. The first day will be Tuesday, Nov. 21 in which all 12 teams will play against each other at least once. The final four will be held the following day on Nov. 22 where the top four teams will compete in playoff fashion until two teams are left.

“The best part about being a part of the Turkey Bowl is seeing the excitement and competition from the students. The teams are made up of students from all different groups in the school. You really get to see them come together and work as a team,” physics teacher Deidra Dumm said.

The championship game will be played outside during seventh and eighth period where students can come to watch.

Hello, I'm Destiny and I'm a Senior at AAHS. This is my third year writing for Mountain Echo. I wrote for the AAJHS Livewire during my freshman year. My favorite hobby right now is reading, and I am currently reading "In Five Years" by Rebecca Serle. I started twirling when I was six years old, and now I spend a great amount of my time twirling as a high school majorette. My favorite snack is goldfish, and I love sweet tea. I love watching musicals, and my favorite T.V. show is Friends. I absolutely love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. My favorite characters are Loki, Bucky and Wanda and my favorite movie is Thor: Ragnarok. After high school, I want to go to Penn State University to major in psychology and minor in Spanish.
