On Altoona. The marching band and band fronts perform for parents and friends at the annual Bandarama concert.

On Nov. 11, the marching band will perform in the Veteran’s Day Parade. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m.

“I have been going over our routine that we perform in most of our parades,” sophomore Rylee Bush said. “I have to make sure that everything I am doing is correct so that everything goes as planned during the parade.”

The parade route will begin on 8th Avenue and 17th Street to 12th Avenue to 12th Street to 11th Avenue to 15th Street. Following the parade, a service will be held at the Robert E. Laws Veterans Mall – 11th Avenue and 14th Street.

Jaidyn Palladini, Editor in Chief
Hello, I'm Jaidyn, and I'm a senior at AAHS. This is my third year writing for the Mountain Echo. I am also an Editor in Chief this year! My favorite hobby is twirling, and I also do photography as a side job for family, friends, etc. A fun fact about me is that I work on the Production Team at the Altoona Curve where I take part in photography, videography, and graphics. Other than being on the staff, I am also very involved when it comes to school. I am involved in Majorettes, Chorus, Drama, and Vocal Ensemble. I found a passion for writing towards the end being in junior high and it has gotten me to where I am now. When I get older, I will be majoring in Digital Journalism and Media with a minor in Sports Studies and a certificate in Sports Journalism. I will be attending Penn State University when I graduate high school and I hope to twirl with the Blue Band. I'm looking forward to what this year has to bring to me, and I'm happy to keep you all updated on events going on here! Thanks for checking in! :)

My name is Olivia McMinn, and I'm a senior here at AAHS. This is my second year writing for the Mountain Echo; however, this year I am also the editor in chief of the Horseshoe yearbook. I am excited for both opportunities this year because I enjoy writing, working on new ideas and helping others. Outside my academic life, I am also a member of the track and tennis teams. In my free time, when I'm not playing tennis, you can find me with my dog, a good book and a large cup of coffee.
