Sophomore Zaelinh Nguyen-Moore jumps and grabs the rebound from the other team. This photo was from the girls D6 Championship game where they played Mifflin County in the 2022-2023 season. Altoona ended up winning 61-35.

On Saturday Feb. 24 the girls’ basketball team will be taking on State College in the District 6 championship. The game will be held at Mount Aloysius College Athletic Center. Only Varsity will play and that will be at 12:30 p.m.

This game is super important to me and the rest of the team. From the girls on the team to all the coaches we all worked so hard to get here. We just have to bring our best because this is such an important game and it’s against  State College. I think if we play like we know we can, we will bring home the win” sophomore Zaelinh Nguyen-Moore said.

Tickets are $8 and must be bought ahead of time online and will not be available at the door. Tickets are available at PIAA District VI Championship Box Office
