Lady Lions basketball to play Chartiers Valley

The D6 girls’ basketball PIAA State bracket.

On Friday March 8, the girls’ basketball team will be taking on Chartiers Valley in the first round of the PIAA 6A State tournament. The game will be held at the AAHS Fieldhouse. Varsity will play at 7:30 p.m.

“This is the game that we ended our season with last year. We also have the home court advantage. I think that will light a fire under us to play hard. We’ve worked so hard all season to get this far so I think if we stick together and play as hard as we can, we can win,” sophomore Samantha Harpster said.

Tickets are $8 and must be bought ahead of time online and will not be available at the door. Tickets are available at Altoona Area vs. Chartiers Valley.
