Varsity and JV begin their season strong. The following dates are listed regarding their schedule.

On March 14, the boys’ baseball team will be taking on Central in a scrimmage. It will be held at Central high school. JV plays at 4:00 p.m.

“I’m looking forward to picking up where I left off last year, improving myself and my game,  being a good teammate and staying humble but hungry. I hope to do the best I can,” sophomore Tanner Stroup said.

Scrimmages consist of a seven inning game to showcase the player’s strong suits and what they bring to the team. Students are encouraged to show support at Central. There is no entry fee.

My name is Cevin Dively. I took yearbook class in eighth grade, and found it interesting, so I decided to continue on with it in the high school. I took Intro to pub, and learned a lot more, then got placed in newswriting for my sophomore year. Aside from newswriting, I'm a Lioneer and dance competitively for a new, local studio. I can't wait to begin another amazing year.

Jaidyn Palladini, Editor in Chief
Hello, I'm Jaidyn, and I'm a senior at AAHS. This is my third year writing for the Mountain Echo. I am also an Editor in Chief this year! My favorite hobby is twirling, and I also do photography as a side job for family, friends, etc. A fun fact about me is that I work on the Production Team at the Altoona Curve where I take part in photography, videography, and graphics. Other than being on the staff, I am also very involved when it comes to school. I am involved in Majorettes, Chorus, Drama, and Vocal Ensemble. I found a passion for writing towards the end being in junior high and it has gotten me to where I am now. When I get older, I will be majoring in Digital Journalism and Media with a minor in Sports Studies and a certificate in Sports Journalism. I will be attending Penn State University when I graduate high school and I hope to twirl with the Blue Band. I'm looking forward to what this year has to bring to me, and I'm happy to keep you all updated on events going on here! Thanks for checking in! :)
