Announcements for 3/18/2024

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2024
Attention Astronomy Club:  Our St. Francis field trip was one for the ages!
Let’s keep that science sizzle going as we ramp up for our two end-of-year
field trips. Our next meeting will be Thursday, March 21st in the Planetarium from 2:50-3:20PM after school. You will receive permission slips for our solar eclipse field trip to Fort Roberdeau on the afternoon of Monday, April 8th.  Remember, don’t look at the Sun without certified eclipse filters. It will sizzle your eyeballs. Hope to see you there!
Attention Friends of Rachel:  Our next meeting will be tomorrow, March 19th during 7th period.  Passes are ready and can be picked up in the library today.  No passes will be given out tomorrow.
Attention students:  The Black Student Union will be holding an interest meeting on Tuesday, March 26th in Mrs. Stephen’s room, A229, right after school at 2:50 PM.  The Black Student Union is a club that was organized and started by students in 2020 to bring AAHS minority and African American students together as a group.  The club’s mission is to increase acceptance of those who are diverse in the school, celebrate history, culture, and inclusion while educating and giving back to the school and community in a positive way.  If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please consider joining the Black Student Union in A229 after school on Tuesday, March 26th.
Attention Seniors:  Are you an orchestra student planning on attending college?  Are you a cancer survivor?  If either of these apply to you, you will want to apply for the Kiera Chirdon Scholarship.  Deadline is March 28th.  Stop by the Guidance rack to pick up an application.
