It’s me Joseph. Sophomore Camille Krug stands with a smile on her face before receiving a hug from another brother, Joseph.

On May 20, a showcase presented by the performing arts department will be held in the black box theater. The showcase will display the talent of both the Musical Theatre and Advanced/Studio Theatre classes.

“I think it’s a really great way to present what we’ve been working on to our friends and family,” senior Ryan Longstreth said. “It’s nice that we get to show off our talents even after the spring musical is over.”

The showcase will be open to anyone. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.

My name is Makenzie Closson. I am a second year member of the Mountain Echo and Horseshoe yearbook staffs. Last year, I became a PSPA finalist and even won first in the state for yearbook copy writing. Besides just being involved in the publications, I'm a competitive dancer. I also enjoy playing my guitar, creating art and film making. After high school, I plan to attend a film school to become a director.

Jaidyn Palladini, Editor in Chief
Hello, I'm Jaidyn, and I'm a senior at AAHS. This is my third year writing for the Mountain Echo. I am also an Editor in Chief this year! My favorite hobby is twirling, and I also do photography as a side job for family, friends, etc. A fun fact about me is that I work on the Production Team at the Altoona Curve where I take part in photography, videography, and graphics. Other than being on the staff, I am also very involved when it comes to school. I am involved in Majorettes, Chorus, Drama, and Vocal Ensemble. I found a passion for writing towards the end being in junior high and it has gotten me to where I am now. When I get older, I will be majoring in Digital Journalism and Media with a minor in Sports Studies and a certificate in Sports Journalism. I will be attending Penn State University when I graduate high school and I hope to twirl with the Blue Band. I'm looking forward to what this year has to bring to me, and I'm happy to keep you all updated on events going on here! Thanks for checking in! :)
