Anticipation. Junior Brandon Lyle smiles gleefully as he signs his paper to go on 2024’s annual Canoe Creek trip. This year’s trip will have some minor changes to improve quality of life on the trip.

On Tuesday, May 21, the health and physical education departments will be sponsoring their annual trip to Canoe Creek. Some minor changes will be made this year for the convenience of students and chaperones going on the trip.

“This year for the Canoe Creek trip we will be starting earlier with an earlier cutoff so that we can have everything to attendance earlier, ” PE department head Thomas Palfey said. “We’re also adding two food trucks where you can get food and drinks for the trip.”

Departure for this year’s trip will occur at 9:00 a.m. and return to school will occur at 2:00 p.m.; students must bring additional funds to purchase items from food trucks.
