Astronomy and FLC members to take part in the Haunted Fort Roberdeau field trip

On Oct. 18, students involved with the Astronomy club or the Fanatics for Language and Culture club (FLC) can attend the field trip to Fort Roberdeau for Haunted Fort Roberdeau. 

“I think my favorite part of the planning is honestly just all the kids, all the students that we get signed up for,” Astronomy club adviser James Krug said. “We have Astronomy Club, we have Fanatics for Language and Culture or Foreign Language club, and this year, the rumor is the Lioneers are going to have a station out there and also possibly do the Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ dance to entertain people in line.” 

All students participating in Fort Roberdeau will dress up in costume and choose spots to either hide or lurk as they wait for their moment to scare people who cross their path. It begins with Trick or Treat Night for the little kids at 5:30 p.m., and the Haunted Trail begins at 6:30 p.m.

My name is Lucille O’Brien, and I am a junior. This is my first year working on the Mountain Echo staff, and I am looking forward to being a helpful and reliable member for the 2025-26 school year. I am going to be a part of drama club this year as well. When I don’t need to focus on school, I usually sketch, play video games and practice piano. Once I graduate, I hope to go to college and obtain a master’s degree or doctorate in Paleontology. This year, I hope to be a respectable member of the Mountain Echo staff and to work my hardest to make this year a great one!
