I put so much effort into perfecting this character because I wanted it to be as good as I could make it. I am so glad that I have been nominated as it feels like my hard work has been recognized and I am extremely grateful for that.”
Camille Krug also reflected on receiving her first individual Isaac nomination.
“I am so honored to be nominated for this award,” Krug said. “I have never had an individual Isaac nomination before, and it is a great accomplishment for me as an actor as I have always hoped I would be good enough to get a nomination. Though I was obviously very happy with my performance, it’s nice to know it was appreciated by and recognized by someone who watches so many shows each year.”
Freshman Lila Eamigh expressed excitement about being nominated for Best Lead Actress.
“I feel so incredibly excited because I got nominated for best lead as a freshman,” Eamigh said. “I feel so honored and proud that I am able to represent AAHS drama in this way.”
With nominations recognizing acting, choreography, design, musical performances, and technical work, The Drama department’s success reflects the hard work and passion of the entire cast and crew. The school community now looks ahead to the May 23 ceremony to see how many awards the production will bring home.
“It’s really exciting,” Director Ben Cossitor said. “You know, we put on a good show and we know we know we put on a good show. We put all our effort into it and we do our best but it is nice to be validated for it. That really means a lot. Everybody is excited and we can’t wait to go to the Isaac ceremony in a couple weeks and find out the results.
