The cross country team is one of the many fall sports for the 2018-19 school year that have begun these first several weeks. The track team is pushing for any meet but none as particular as a meet soon in October. Cross country members consider State College to be one of their rivals.

One person who has been in cross country for three years is tenth grader Andrew Carini.

“State College we see as the biggest rival and competition to us,” Carini said.

To get in the zone for a meet some members do different things to get in the mindset for a game,

“Thinking that you have to beat the guy in front of you,” Carini said.

Carini believes for the team to possibly improve everyone needs to just try a little harder each time they go out there.

Although the team doesn’t play State College until October, each meet pushes them to improve.
