Friday, Sept. 25 will be the first football game of the 2020-2021 season. Knowing there are strict guidelines, band director Larry Detwiler decided the band is going to be performing, while being safe.

“We are planning for the marching band to be at the football games and participating as much as we can given the current guidelines. We know that things change often and fast as we continue to combat the COVID virus but we are planning for many different scenarios and will be prepared to participate to the fullest extent that we are allowed. The marching band is very excited to get started with the games after all of the work that we have put in during the summer and beginning of the school year,” Detwiler said.

The music theme this year is time. Every title has the word time in it. The band also created a video of what pregame looks like for this season. The video can be found on the “Altoona Area School District Secondary Music Department” Facebook page.
