Announcements for Oct. 12

Attention Drama Club:  The next Drama Club meeting is on Monday from 3-3:30pm in the A Building.  PLEASE BRING YOUR FORMS from the sign-up packet!  Come to the 5th Avenue Portico doors across from St. Mary’s. Wear a mask.  The first fall play rehearsal will immediately follow the meeting from 3:30-5:30 pm.  All cast and crew should plan to attend (crew will be left go early after they get their schedule and assignments).  

 

Attention Students:  If you are interested in signing up for the National Art Honor Society, please follow the link to complete the application.  Candidates for membership shall have:  

  • Minimum final grade of 93% in the Art 1 course.  (Students who qualified to bypass 

Art 1 at AAHS shall have a minimum final grade of 93% in the Art 9 Yearlong Elective.)

  • Candidates who have completed more than one art course at AAHS shall maintain a minimum average of 90% in those art classes.
  • Candidates shall have at least a minimum scholarship average of 86% in leveled academic courses other than art.
  • Commercial art students from GACTC may qualify for membership if they have a minimum art average of 93% after completion of 1 year of Commercial Art and are currently enrolled in Art 1 at AAHS with a 93% grade average.

Applications are due by Friday, October 23rd

 

Attention Seniors:  Next week, you will be voting for your 2020-2021 class officers.  The following students are running:

You will be voting by a Google Form that will be sent via email.  Please check your school mail often; you will only have a short time to vote.  Each student is only able to vote once.  Winners will be announced by next Friday, October 16th.

Attention Juniors & Seniors Taking the S.A.T this fall:  Mr. Spayd has S.A.T. Math practice (#1-#7) on a Google Classroom site.  These represent the first 7 weeks of school.  Anyone can join and participate.  Each week there will be a new Math practice placed onto the Classroom for the first 12 weeks of the school year.  Presently there are 70 students participating, so join the crowd and improve your S.A.T. Test scores.
