Back in time At the Horseshoe Curve, a demonstration is being shown of what life was once like in early Altoona. Irish immigrants had immigrated here and aided with the construction of the Horseshoe Curve .

Old life Hanging on the line, the clothes are ready to dry. Above the gift shop, the second floor of the building is dedicated to what life was like in Altoona in the 1920s.

Stair-climber 194 steps above ground is what it takes to get to the Horseshoe Curve. These steps stopped every so often with circular landings.

Horseshoe This horseshoe shaped statue provides information of a saying from the National Youth Administration. This administration was established in 1935 by Franklin D. Roosevelt and ended in 1943.

Americas oldest gas station Located in front of Baker Mansion, this gas station starts construction in 1909. This was once another property owned by Elias Baker.

Oldest Gas Station in America The red gas pump sits outside of Reighards Gas Station. One of the original gas pumps has stayed outside of the gas station as years have passed.

Time for a reenactment Old artifacts sit on the ledge. The reenactment at the Horseshoe Curve had artifacts that related to the history of the Horseshoe Curve.

Replicas The replica holds its hand up to shake on a deal. The Railroaders museum has life size replicas to demonstrate what would have happened in the past.

Look where we are The map shows the location of Altoona and a few of its sites. There are two three dimensional maps that show the different places in Blair country and the surrounding counties.

Its time. Being the start of the year, clubs are meeting. This meeting will discuss many topics such as club officers and what the club will be doing this year.
