Sophomore Lillian Roberts joins both Mountain Echo, Horseshoe staffs

Rachel Carnell, Guest Writer

Lillian Roberts a sophomore on the Mountain Echo and the yearbook staff.

Roberts has always had the idea of doing something with writing or being an artist; she wants to go to a liberal arts college.

“It is kind of stressful being on both the yearbook and Echo but once you get yourself caught up it’s not bad,” Roberts said.

One of her best memories on the yearbook staff is the one game they played.

“We all played a little balloon game where they had to try and keep the balloon up in the air to represent what happens when somebody does not do their spreads; it was really fun but I learned from it,” Roberts said.

The most exciting thing she has done was the all about me project.

“It was nice to explore what they could do, see the colors, fonts and pictures and also what it is like to upload,” Roberts said.

Roberts has had 14 surgeries; her scariest one was the most recent one because she found out all the things that could happen during the surgery. She has also been dancing for 15 years; she is on the Lioneers dances for PBR studios.

“My favorite thing about news writing is the energy that goes on; everyone is really positive and also really welcoming. Destiny is really great and helps a lot, so does Cassidy. In Horseshoe, I really like Maddie; she is really nice.” Roberts said

Roberts likes the design aspect of yearbook and likes being able to create something the school is going to look at and appreciate. Someday they will show their kids what they did in high school.
