Working hard. Senior Alyssa Ziegler works to complete her calculus homework. Ziegler took five courses of mathematics throughout her high school career.

Starting on Oct. 31, the National Honors Society students will be offering free peer-tutoring for all subjects in the AAHS library after school from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Since our NHS students have already demonstrated their own personal commitment to scholarship and their academics, it has been a tradition at AAHS to have them share their knowledge as peer tutors. Peer tutoring allows the student to hear or see a topic explained by someone other than the teacher,” National Honor Society adviser Deidra Dumm said.

Tutoring will take place Monday through Thursday, and different subjects will be offered on different days of the week.

Monday: Social studies and health

Tuesday: English and world languages

Wednesday: Mathematics

Thursday: Science and computer sciences
