On Wednesday, Sept. 20, select Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) members will be attending a field trip to attend the Space and Climate workshop at the St. Francis Curry Innovation Center in downtown Altoona.
Attending students will have the opportunity to view different exhibits, try out new activities and learn about space and climate issues. Lunch will be provided, and the trip is at no cost to the students.
“[Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science is] the oldest STEM organization in the state of Pennsylvania, since 1936. And to me, it’s a great way for kids to learn about science, careers, and practice actually doing science and [exploring] other related fields,” club adviser David Borst said.
