Astronomy club organizes student officers ahead of Fort Roberdeau Haunted Trail

The astronomy club meets in the Neil Armstrong Planetarium and is organized by club adviser James Krug.

In preparation for their annual Haunted Trail at Fort Roberdeau on Oct. 7, the astronomy club met after school on Sept. 7 to elect club officers. A vote was organized by club adviser James Krug, and every member in attendance participated. 

Officer positions were announced on Sept. 8 during the school day. The elected students were President Austin Parker, Vice President Caleb Fries, Secretary Zyon Vanlue, Treasurer Noah Fries and Mayor Owen Hoover.

“Running the club is a lot of work for Mr. Krug, and I’m just happy to help him with whatever I can because he’s taking time out of his day to make really awesome and fun things happen for us,” Parker said. 

The Haunted Trail event will take place at Fort Roberdeau on Saturday, Oct. 7. There will be trick or treat at 6:30 p.m. and the trail will open at 7:30 p.m.
