Swim team to face off against Tyrone

Altoona boys race Tyrone boys in last years meet in the 500 freestyle. Altoona took a win in every event last year, defeating Tyrone.

The swim team will compete against Tyrone at home Dec. 11. The team competed in the Mt. Lion Kickoff Invitational on Dec. 2, making this meet their first dual meet of the season. 

“I feel like we can win this meet. I am excited to compete and see how the team does. It feels weird going into my senior season, but most of my focus is being ready to compete and work for a win,” senior Chris Fox said. 

The meet will be held at 4 p.m. and tickets will be sold at the door. The team will also travel to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) on Wed. Dec. 13 for a tri-meet against Homer Center and Northern Cambria.

Hey everyone! My name is Charlie, I'm a junior and Associate Editor of the Mountain Echo. I was on the Livewire staff in Jr High and Mt Echo staff since 10th grade. My name is Miley Naugle, I am a 10th grade reporter on the AAHS Mountain Echo. This is my second year on the staff and my third year as a reporter. My favorite thing to do as a part of the staff, was take photos. I started writing on the Livewire staff in 8th grade. I love to take photos and write sports stories. I also like to run, I have been running since 7th grade. I run Cross Country and long distance for Track. I am part of the Student Council and I am also in chorus. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and spending time with my little sister.
