Books are better than movies. Those taking short cuts and watching movies don’t know what they are missing. The story is not the same on paper.
Although the movies may seem easier to watch than reading the book, most movies seen don’t tell the whole story and leave out parts. Readers hear different sounds or see different things.
For instance, the “Hunger Games’” book allows readers to imagine Katniss and hear her thoughts and fears. It helps readers understand why she made that choice. In the movie, watchers lose some of the emotion in her feelings and choices; her actions are all you see. They keep the book more detailed with what’s happening then the movie. The movies are meant to be fast paced. Movies don’t tell the whole and real story. The movie is just a run off of the book.
Even in the “Harry Potter” books there is more detail than the movies. Yes the movie is more interesting but the book has more detail and is better at showing the emotion in the feelings. In the book, you can picture what you think it looks like. The books give a deeper meaning and understanding than the movies. Mostly every book that has been turned into a movie they left parts out or even added parts that never happened in the books. The book lasts longer; it could take just how much time you need it to be there. There are many different chapters or even series. With a movie, once the credits end it’s over. The books are better in the end.
