Every day, students rush to the cafeteria hoping for something good and sometimes, we’re disappointed.
For many students, lunch isn’t just a snack between classes. It’s their main meal of the day. If we expect students to focus, participate, and succeed, they need food that actually fuels them. Greasy pizza and soggy vegetables don’t exactly help anyone do their best on a math test.
Upgrading school lunches doesn’t mean gourmet meals. It means fresher options, more variety, and actually listening to student feedback. When students have better food choices, they waste less and feel way better throughout the day.
If school is a place that prepares us for the future, it should try and improve what’s on our plates today.
