Choral students audition for county, district chorus

Students are auditioning for county chorus and district chorus at the end of September. Select students from those who audition will be selected to sing in festivals later this year.

“The whole chorus will sing the Alma Mater at the homecoming assembly on Thursday. This is the first time we’ve done this. Look for us beside the band,” adviser Kelly Sipes said.

In October, the vocal ensemble will head to IUP to participate in an Honors Choir. They will sing with select students from other schools. Some AAHS graduates from last year are attending in music and other areas of education.

On Oct. 20, vocal ensemble will perform a collaborative concert with the Blair Concert Chorale to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The vocal ensemble will be performing “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” by Pentatonix as well as two other pieces.
