Autism Society to host awareness walk

A walk for a cause. The Autism Society in Central Pa. is spreading awareness about autism by organizing a community walk on Saturday, Sept. 3. Walkers and vendors can register online on the website prior to attending the event. The walk is to focus on the abilities of people with autism, not the disability.

The Central Pa. Autism Society will be organizing a community walk on Saturday, Sept. 3 at the Blair County Convention Center. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and the walk itself is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for those 12 years and older. Those 11 years and younger are admitted for free. 

An indoor sensory track, DJ, food and vendors will be provided among other things. Anyone interested can participate to spread awareness about autism.
