SADD prepares for Red Ribbon week

Through the week of Oct. 24-28, the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will be holding the annual Red Ribbon Week. Students will be able to purchase a ribbon for $1 during the week.

“The SADD group met in September for its first meeting. The students were asked to email me ideas for theme week. When we met for the October meeting, the group discussed all the ideas and decided as a group what the top five favorite themes were for each day,” adviser Julie Schmoke said.

During the week, there will be themes for students to take part in each day:

Monday: Team up against drugs: Wear your favorite sports’ team apparel.

Tuesday: Crazy sock day: Wear your craziest socks.

Wednesday: Peace out drugs: Wear tie dye.

Thursday: Lei off drugs: Wear your Hawaiian gear.

Friday: My future is too bright for drugs: Freshman wear neon green, sophomores wear neon blue, juniors wear neon orange, seniors wear neon pink.
