AASD closed two more weeks

On March 13, the school district closed all schools following the direction of Governor Tom Wolf. The school district originally planned to be reopened by March 30. However, on March 20 Superintendent, Dr. Prijatelj sent out a newsletter saying all schools will be reopened when notified following Wolf’s order of closing all non-life sustaining businesses. On March 23, Wolf announced that all PA schools will remain closed through April 6.
“The measure may seem extreme. However, we are in desperate times and need to make drastic changes in order to save lives,” Wolf said.
The school district is continuing handing out lunches to students under 18.
