On Dec. 13,  the Altoona Lady Lions will travel to take on Mount Lebanon at their gym for their first game of the season. JV will start at 5:00 and varsity will follow shortly after at 6:30.

“Our preseason has been good.  Yesterday was a lot better. Our intensity level has risen, and if we continue to practice like we most recently did, that will take care of itself.  When we go to Mount Lebanon and play there, they are going to be surprised at the style of defense we play and with our intensity.  I think that they aren’t going to be ready for our transition offense or to see potentially 10 different players that we will be able to rotate in and out to contribute for this lady lion basketball team, so I’m really excited for our first game,” Assistant Coach Amy Palfey said.

The team and coaches have been working very hard in preseason to prepare for the upcoming season.  The team strives to win another District 6 championship this year.
