Language classes prepare for upcoming field trip

On April 2, all language classes have the opportunity to visit the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The Appalachian Professional Language Educators’ Society, otherwise known as APPLES, is holding a festival at the university for several schools in the area of Western Pennsylvania.

“What I think is really good about this is that if a student participates in an academic portion like reading, speaking or writing; Us teachers won’t know what score our students get as an ending score, and we don’t know how well you do unless you get first, second or third place. It’s very low stress, low risk activities that students do. It’s a good opportunity to get student’s comfortable with their language outside of the classroom,” Spanish teacher Dane Leone said.

All students attending the field trip must sign up for one of the activities being presented in the event.
