On Sept. 27, the band along with the band front will be performing at the Altoona versus Carlise football game at 7 p.m. The band front spends four days a week practicing and preparing for the game.

“We practice on Monday where the majorettes and the silks come in by themselves, and we learn our routines so that we are kind of a step ahead of the band. On Tuesday, we come in during the evenings with the band, and that’s where we learn where we move on the field and go on the field. Thursday is clean up night with the band. Friday we go out to Mansion prior to the game, and we go over everything out there one last time. Then we are set for the game for that week,” majorette adviser Kelly Detwiler said.

Detwiler works on all the little details and makes sure that everyone looks the same way, and all their arms and legs and hands are moving the same way.
