Resig reveals passion for dancing

A lot of people enjoy watching dance or enjoy being the dancer. When sophomore Leiya Resig was put into dance at 5-years-old she did not imagine it being as much fun as it is.

‘’In five years I see myself hopefully still dancing for fun but maybe in college,’’ Resig said.

There are things that are easy and hard for Resig to learn in dance.

‘’Not any dance move specifically, but any slower beat dance like ballet or lyrical is harder for me to learn,’’ Resig said. ’’Turns’ are the easiest thing to learn.”

She was put into dance at a young age.

‘’My mom put me in dance at a young age, but I continued it once I got older because I enjoyed it and the people there,’’ Resig said.

Resig believes someone who is a good dancer is diligent and dedicated.

‘’I think someone who works hard and enjoys it is a good dancer,’’ Resig said.‘My greatest accomplishment is ’probably learning a dance and performing it well,.’

Dancing is something that has shaped Resig into the person she is today and she cannot wait to see where dancing takes her in the future.
