Black Lives Matter movement must take priority

Black Lives Matter is a very important topic with our society.  2020 is when people really started to show that this was becoming an issue.  As things are not becoming as violent with the issue, people should still know that it remains an issue.

Even before 2020 blacks have been speaking out for themselves for years trying to show they are just as equal.  For example, Martin Luther King Jr. made speeches in front of thousands of people.  He did peaceful protests about the issue black people were having.  His most famous line from his speech was “I have a dream.”

Based on percentages and graphs, it shows that blacks are treated very unfairly in many different situations.  Many black people have been dying because of the police even when they are unarmed.  Even some that are police officers are getting hate for no reason.

Another example is when Rosa Parks was on the bus, and they tried to make her sit in the back because of her skin color.  During the time of these is when a lot of racial segregation was going on and the black people were treated really differently.  It really started in the 1880’s.  When there were rules dealing with racial segregation making it seem like white people were better.  There were different schools and different classrooms based on color.  Separate sinks with a certain sign above them.  The bathrooms were also segregated and black people had to sit in the back of the bus while white people got to sit in the front of the bus.

Things started to get better for blacks when they were allowed to vote.  When people started to stand up against each other, it proved that they were just as strong and could take them on.  It showed that they were not scared anymore to make a stance.

In conclusion, black lives matter is very important.  They have gotten very far by standing up for themselves, but it is time for all people to join them.  Never judge someone based on their color.
